We handed the Sagres their very
first loss of the season to win
the Championship game!

It was particularly sweet to 
silence their crowd of rowdy, 
misbehaved fans (to the pleasure 
of the other teams in the league 
present that night I found out 
later).  It was more effective 
than the warnings the ref had 
to hand out to them earlier in 
the game.

We went into the second half with
a 4-0 lead thanks to Tariq's 
hat-trick.  But we knew this 
Sagres team could come back in
the game very easily, which
they started to do with 2 quick
goals.  Fortunately Sean dialed
long distance and scored from
half giving us the insurance
goal we needed to get our 
composure back.

Things soured in the last 10
minutes of the game when Kashif
got two yellow cards, but we
managed to kill off that power-
play with some help from Jason
who had an outstanding second half
(when we usually slip a little).

As always, we love to see opposition
players swear at each other, you know
you're doing something right when...

After 10 years, 288 indoor/outdoor/
playoff/tournament games we pick
up our first championship.  Congrats
guys!
