We ended the tournament with an 0-1-2 record failing to advance. We seem to rack up alot of ties in tournaments, might be because of the length of the games.
In the first game we played the Nortel Bears, we could have won, but we were just too exhausted from the man short (10 players), several close chances, but the one we needed never came, we did come back from a 2-1 deficit however...
The second game vs Perth game was just hard on us, apparently they are Div 3 in the OCSL or something, but I still have to confirm that (not sure I will ever be able to!). We had 11 players but still no subs. Our goal came as Phil L. harassed the Perth player until Gilles came in to strip the ball away from him and make an excellent pass to Jeremy (practically through his legs).
The final game was versus a mixed level Spitfires team called the Spitfires Homers, we were once again short with only 10 players. After going down 1-0, we came back to tie it on a Jeremy penalty kick conversion (he is 5/5 on the season league and tournament games included). Including league games Jeremy is also on a 5 game scoring streak! Keep it up!
